Venture Global, Inc. and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd announced the execution of a new, long-term liquefied natural gas Sales and Purchase Agreement on Tuesday. Under the agreement, Tokyo Gas will procure 1 million tonnes per annum of LNG from Venture Global for 20 years, starting in 2030.

Contract Details and Commercial Momentum

The deal represents Venture Global's fourth long-term contract with a Japanese company and marks 7.75 million tonnes per annum of Sales and Purchase Agreements signed by Venture Global in the last six months. This brings the total long-term contracts signed by the company to date in 2025 to 7.75 MTPA.

The agreement is expected to contribute significantly to the US-Japan balance of trade over the duration of the Sales and Purchase Agreement. The deal will provide Japan with what the companies describe as affordable, reliable American LNG for the duration of the contract.
