Universal Success Will Invest $240 Million for a Data Center Facility in West Bengal, India

Singapore-based real estate developer USEL (Universal Success Enterprise Limited) is set to establish a USD 240 million Data Center facility in Bengal Silicon Valley. Prasoon Mukherjee, the Chairman of USEL, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project at the Bengal Global Business Summit.

Chairman Prasoon Mukherjee stated that the data center would be completed in the next 4-5 years, with the project's commencement dependent on cable landing. USEL has already developed approximately 16 million square feet of real estate in Bengal.

The Bengal Global Business Summit also witnessed the launch of new policy initiatives, such as the West Bengal Cable Landing Policy 2023. This policy aims to establish ten cable landing stations along the coastline by 2025, with one landing station already under construction at Digha in East Midnapore.

  • NTT Global Data Centers: NTT Global Data Centers, a leading data center provider, is constructing a data center hub on 7.5 acres of land at BSVH.
