ThisWay Global Inc. ("ThisWay Global" or "TWG"), a company focused on sovereign artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, has announced plans for the Research and AI Compute Center ("RACC") at the Texas A&M-RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas.

Phased Development Planned for Bryan, Texas, Site

The announcement follows the September 30, 2026, closing of the court-approved acquisition of project assets through the bankruptcy process, after which TWG began remobilizing the previously stalled digital-infrastructure project.

The project is planned as a phased development with 73 MW of capacity on a 25-acre site, subject to applicable approvals. RACC is intended to make advanced AI and HPC capacity available to eligible research, public-sector, and industry users.

The project is intended to apply TWG's Sovereign Blueprint™, an evidence-based framework designed to help organizations identify and document controls over data, models, computing resources, and access.

Three Connected Objectives

RACC is planned around three connected objectives: sovereign AI computing capacity, research and innovation collaboration; and workforce-development opportunities.

The project is intended to support eligible users with research, advanced analytics, and other mission-critical AI and HPC workloads, subject to applicable contracting, procurement, security, and access requirements.

"RACC is an opportunity to demonstrate how AI and high-performance computing digital infrastructure can be developed as an accountable, governed institutional capability, one that can support Texas research, innovation and workforce opportunity," said Angela Hood, Founder and Executive Chairman of ThisWay Global.

"We intend to advance this development in collaboration with A&M-RELLIS leadership, local stakeholders and qualified partners, with a focus on responsible infrastructure and meaningful community benefit in the Bryan-College Station region."

"The future of this development will be shaped by disciplined engineering, collaboration, and compliance with the legal, regulatory, contractual and community requirements that apply to a project of this importance," Hood added.

Four Planning Priorities

Planning for the project is guided by four priorities. The first, governed AI and HPC infrastructure, reflects an intended operating model in which policies, workload access, computing resources and supporting evidence can be administered and documented in accordance with applicable customer, contractual and regulatory requirements.

The second priority is phased, scalable infrastructure. The development is planned to proceed in phases, with infrastructure and capacity deployed in accordance with final engineering, applicable approvals, utility arrangements, financing, procurement and customer requirements.

The third priority, responsible resource management, is reflected in a current design that contemplates closed-loop, direct-to-chip liquid cooling. According to the company, the final cooling-system configuration and water requirements will be determined through engineering and applicable approvals. Planning will also address applicable noise, land-use, and environmental requirements.

The fourth priority covers research, training and workforce development. TWG intends to explore research collaboration and workforce-development programming with educational, community and other qualified partners, subject to partner agreements, applicable institutional approvals and operational requirements.

Software Deployment and Governance Model

TWG plans to deploy its Amalgamy.ai™ software to support workload orchestration, policy administration, data-access controls, metering and evidence management, with deployment scope determined by the project's final operating model and customer requirements. The planned model is intended to accommodate appropriate hardware and software choices while maintaining evidence-based governance practices.

TWG intends for RACC to bring together computing infrastructure, evidence-based sovereign AI governance, research collaboration and workforce-development opportunities in a model that the company says can inform future governed AI and HPC developments in the United States and internationally.

Company Background

Founded in 2016, ThisWay Global is a certified Woman-Owned business based in Austin, Texas. With roots in R&D at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, TWG works with governments, enterprises, universities and research institutions on governed AI and high-performance computing infrastructure.

TWG developed the Sovereign Blueprint™, an evidence-based framework for evaluating and documenting controls over data, models, computing resources and access, and Amalgamy.ai, a software product intended to support governed advanced-computing environments.

The RACC announcement follows the company's September 22, 2026 introduction of the Sovereign Blueprint™, described at the time as a framework establishing sovereign AI and digital infrastructure innovation operable as a governed, efficient institutional capability.
