Tekmar Group plc (Engineering services company) has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD 1.16 million to provide concrete protection solutions for a major European offshore wind farm project, the AIM-listed company announced on 17 August 2026.

Contract Details and Scope

The contract was awarded to a leading submarine cable contractor and covers the design and manufacture of concrete protection and stabilisation solutions to safeguard cables across the wind farm.

Tekmar described the cables as a critical part of wind farm infrastructure, noting that disruption to them results in costly shutdowns and interruptions to power and revenue generation. Delivery is scheduled within the calendar year 2026.

The company said the award marks the first order of a concrete protection solution from the customer in question, representing an extension of an existing relationship rather than a new customer win.

Strategic Significance for Tekmar

Tekmar characterised the contract as an important milestone in its concrete solutions offering and said it strengthens the company's position in the European offshore wind market.

Chief Executive Officer Richard Turner said the award reflects the ongoing success of changes taking place within Tekmar under its internal transformation programme, known as Project Aurora.

Turner said Project Aurora has delivered a record level of backlog to date, driving additional throughput and operational efficiencies across the company's existing capacity.

He added that the contract demonstrates Tekmar's market-leading position in asset protection technology and the strength of its customer relationships, while also illustrating progress in broadening the company's offer across the global offshore wind and oil and gas markets.

Turner expressed ambition for the concrete solutions business to mirror the performance of Tekmar's wider cable protection technology division, stating that this contract represents a step toward that goal.

Project Aurora and the Integrated Platform

Tekmar said the contract also reflects the development of the company under Project Aurora, which is designed to allow customers to take better advantage of its asset protection and offshore energy services under one integrated platform. The company operates across two core divisions: Asset Protection Technology and Offshore Energy Services.

The announcement positions the concrete protection contract as consistent with Tekmar's broader growth strategy, with the company seeking to offer a more comprehensive suite of services to customers across global offshore energy and marine infrastructure markets.
