UK-based renewable energy developer TDI Renewables has secured approximately USD 28.6 million in financing for the development of its 58 MWp Iratosu solar photovoltaic project in Arad County, Romania.

The financing was provided by Raiffeisen Bank International AG, supporting the company's efforts to advance its renewable energy portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe.

Raiffeisen Bank Provides Project Financing

Vlasceanu & Partners, the law firm advising TDI Renewables, announced the financing transaction on October 16, 2026. The firm provided legal assistance throughout the financing process, including the preparation and negotiation of financing documentation and support through financial close.

The agreement represents a financing milestone for the Iratosu solar project as TDI Renewables moves forward with its development plans in Romania.

Ameresco Sunel Energy Selected for Construction

Earlier in 2026, TDI Renewables appointed Ameresco Sunel Energy SA, a joint venture between US-based Ameresco Inc. and Greece's Sunel Group, to construct the 58 MWp Iratosu solar facility.

The appointment established a construction partnership for the project, while the newly secured financing provides additional financial support for its development.
