A working delegation from Tây Ninh province recently conducted a survey and working session with World Vision United Group in Taipei City, Taiwan (China), to study the model of an artificial intelligence data center (AI Data Center). The delegation also surveyed the YiDi construction project in Datong District, Taipei, as part of the visit.
Session Details
During the working session, the consortium of investor SAIGONTEL and its international partners proposed investing in an AI Data Center project expected to be deployed on 20 hectares at Nam Tân Uyên Industrial Park. The project is designed with a scale of 200 MW, of which phase 1 would account for 100 MW, with a total investment of USD 700 million.
Province Sees Potential in Digital Economy Push
Speaking at the working session, leaders of Tây Ninh province stated that the locality pays close attention to the proposal to develop the AI Data Center. The province views the sector as a potential field that could contribute to promoting the digital economy, attracting high-tech investment and creating momentum for the transformation of the growth model in the locality.
According to the provincial leadership, Tây Ninh will continue to exchange with the investor and partners to clarify requirements related to infrastructure, energy, technology, scale, and the implementation roadmap. These clarifications will serve as the basis for studying the feasibility of the project.

Details of the Proposed Project
The proposed facility would be an AI-focused data center rather than a conventional data facility, based on the working session's agenda with World Vision United Group, which hosted the Tây Ninh delegation in Taipei.
The 20-hectare site within Nam Tân Uyên Industrial Park would host the full 200 MW capacity, with the first phase delivering 100 MW. The total investment figure of USD 700 million was put forward by the SAIGONTEL-led consortium together with its international partners.
The survey trip included an on-site visit to the YiDi project in Datong District of Taipei, which the delegation examined as a reference for the data center model under discussion.
Next steps for the proposal
At this stage, the proposal remains at the study phase. The province has committed to further discussions with the investor and partners on the specific technical and operational requirements before assessing whether the project can move forward. No approval or construction timeline has been announced.
