Solarvest Holdings Berhad has secured a MYR 320 million Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract under the Large Scale Solar 5 programme (LSS5). The project, with a capacity of 99.99MWac, was awarded by Wawasan Demi Sdn. Bhd., a 63%-owned subsidiary of AIZO Group Berhad.

The floating solar project is located in Kampar, Perak, and is scheduled to commence commercial operations on 30 October 2027. Once commissioned, it is expected to generate approximately 205,709MW of clean energy annually, offsetting around 159,219 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

Project Details and Timeline

The Kampar floating solar project marks a significant milestone for Solarvest as it continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio. The project is part of Malaysia's Large Scale Solar 5 programme, which aims to accelerate the nationwide adoption of solar energy.

Executive Director and Group Chief Strategy Officer of Solarvest, Mr. Leon Liew Chee Ing, expressed the company's commitment to the project. “We are pleased to be entrusted by Wawasan Demi to execute this project and appreciate their confidence in our expertise in complex floating solar solutions,” he said.

“Delivering such projects requires advanced technical capabilities in sustainable design, smart engineering, and operations management. We are committed to completing this project safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while making a meaningfully contribution to Malaysia's clean energy goals.”

Financial Impact and Order Book Strength

This project marks another key milestone for Solarvest as the Group continues to strengthen its order book, which now stands at MYR 1.6 billion following the announcement of the 2QFY2026 financial results. The achievement demonstrates Solarvest's growing reputation as a trusted clean energy partner in Malaysia, highlighting the Group's strong execution capabilities and ongoing momentum in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects.

The MYR 320 million contract value represents a substantial addition to Solarvest's project portfolio, further cementing the company's position in Malaysia's renewable energy sector. The project contributes to the company's accumulated renewable energy portfolio of over 3,200MW across ongoing and completed projects.
