Sembcorp Industries has secured a 150MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) power project through its wholly-owned renewables subsidiary, Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited. The project was awarded by SJVN Limited on November 11, 2025, as part of a larger tender process for assured peak power delivery.

Project Specifications and Infrastructure

The build-own-operate project forms part of SJVN's 6,000MWh tender, which covers 1,500MW capacity over 4 hours for assured peak power from Inter-State Transmission System-connected renewable energy projects integrated with energy storage systems. To meet the contracted 150MW capacity, Sembcorp will install approximately 750MW of infrastructure comprising solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The project structure involves a 25-year power purchase agreement with SJVN, subject to execution. Commercial operation is expected to commence within 24 months of signing the contract. The project will be financed through a combination of internal funds and debt financing.
