PT Tigabelas Solusi Nusantara (TSN), an Indonesian technology company, has opened a new data center in Lamongan, East Java.
The facility was inaugurated on Tuesday, October 13, and aims to enhance regional internet connectivity by enabling internet service providers (ISPs) to exchange network traffic locally.
The development reduces reliance on routes through major cities such as Jakarta or Surabaya.
Faster Responses and Lower Costs for Providers
Syamsul Arifin, President Director of TSN, said that local access would make network responses faster.
The development also reduces operating costs for internet providers, according to the report.
Government and Industry Response
Arif Bachtiar, secretary of the Lamongan Regency Communications and Informatics Office, described the opening as a new milestone for internet connectivity and digitalisation in Lamongan.
Yosvensa Setiawan, chairman of the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) East Java regional board, noted that data center development outside major cities addresses uneven digital infrastructure distribution.

Facility Capacity and Internet Exchange Launch
The facility currently hosts 70 companies with equipment installed across 14 server racks.
Alongside the data center's opening, TSN soft-launched IIX-JI, an internet exchange point, to facilitate local network traffic exchange within the region.
Regional Digitalisation Impact
The new data center allows ISPs to connect their networks closer to users, potentially reducing data transmission times.
It also aims to improve connection stability within the Plat S region, which includes Lamongan, Tuban, Bojonegoro, Mojokerto, and Jombang.
Indonesia's Data Center Boom Is Accelerating! Are You Tracking the Right Projects?
Every hyperscale campus, colocation facility, and edge data center in Indonesia starts with an early-stage signal: a land acquisition, a power allocation, and a tender notice. Miss the signal, and you miss the contract.
The Global Project Tracking (GPT) platform by Blackridge Research gives you a live, structured view of data center development across the nation, so your team can engage buyers, suppliers, and contractors at exactly the right moment.
Instead of scraping news fragments, you get verified project intelligence you can act on daily.
