The PNE Group has won a contract for its Oinville-Saint-Liphard wind farm in France following a highly competitive tender round under the French government's PPE2 programme, the Cuxhaven-based developer announced on 13 July 2026.

Tender Results and Project Scale

The Oinville-Saint-Liphard wind farm, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, comprises four wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 22 megawatts.

The project was selected as one of 39 awarded projects in the eleventh tender round under the PPE2 programme, which attracted a total of 144 bids representing an aggregate capacity of 2.38 gigawatts.

The 39 successful projects together represent a total awarded capacity of 808 MW. PNE France was named as one of eleven winning developers in the round.

Approval Timeline and Tender Readiness

The Oinville-Saint-Liphard project received planning approval in May 2026, with the approval granted in only 15 months. The timing proved critical for PNE France, as the approval came just in time for the project to be submitted in the tender round.

The French government had relaunched its tender process in early April 2026, shortly after publishing the multiannual energy plan PPE3, following a pause of nearly one year since the previous tender held in July 2025.

Recent Track Record in France

The win follows a period of activity for PNE France in quick succession. In the July 2025 tender round, PNE France secured contracts for two projects, Chéry and Romescamps.

The company also recently completed the sale of the Romescamps wind farm, which Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG, referenced as part of a run of results in the French market within a short timeframe.

Stanze described the outcome as confirmation of the group's strategy and the quality of work being carried out by its French team. "We are very pleased that we were able to prevail in a highly competitive tender," Stanze said.

"This once again demonstrates the excellent work being done by our French team on the ground. Following the sale of the Romescamps wind farm, this is the next success for us within just a few days in one of our most important core markets, and once again confirms our strategy."

France as a Core Market

PNE Group has described France as one of its most important core markets. The Oinville-Saint-Liphard result adds to a run of project milestones in the country, with the group having now secured tender awards in consecutive PPE2 rounds.

The relaunch of tenders by the French government in April 2026, following the extended pause, signalled a renewed pipeline of procurement activity in the market, into which PNE France was positioned to submit the newly approved project.
