Pathos AI has announced multi-year strategic collaborations with Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) and Tempus AI to advance artificial intelligence-driven drug development targeting Alzheimer's disease and other neurological conditions.

Announced on October 23, 2026, the agreements will combine Tempus AI's patient data infrastructure, Pathos AI's drug development platform, and Bristol Myers Squibb's neuroscience expertise to improve understanding of neurological diseases and support the development of potential treatments.

Pathos Expands AI Partnerships for Drug Development

The collaborations include a five-year, USD 55 million data licensing agreement between Pathos and Tempus AI. Bristol Myers Squibb will also gain access to Pathos' AI platform as part of a broader partnership covering neuroscience research and drug development.

Tempus AI to Develop Large-Scale Neurological Dataset

Under its agreement with Pathos AI, Tempus will develop a specialized, de-identified dataset containing information from hundreds of thousands of patients with neurological conditions.

The dataset will include longitudinal patient information, allowing researchers to examine disease progression, treatment responses, and clinical outcomes over time.

Tempus will apply the data infrastructure and analytical capabilities it has developed in oncology to support research into Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders.

Pathos will license the dataset through a five-year agreement valued at USD 55 million, providing access to patient information intended to support AI-driven analysis and clinical development.

Pathos Foundry to Support Drug Development

Pathos AI will use its proprietary agentic AI platform, Pathos Foundry, to analyze the neurological dataset and identify patterns that could improve understanding of disease biology.

The platform is designed to generate and evaluate scientific hypotheses, identify potential treatment opportunities and inform the design of more targeted clinical trials.

Pathos has previously applied its AI-driven approach to oncology, where the technology supports clinical development decisions across the company's therapeutic pipeline.

The collaboration will extend these capabilities into neuroscience, with an emphasis on identifying patient populations that may benefit from specific treatments and improving clinical trial planning.

Bristol Myers Squibb Secures AI Platform Access

Bristol Myers Squibb will contribute its neuroscience research and clinical development expertise to the collaboration, supporting the application of Pathos Foundry to Alzheimer's disease and other neurological conditions.

Under the agreement, BMS will receive three years of exclusive rights to support its neuroscience development programs using the platform. The pharmaceutical company will also obtain non-exclusive strategic access to Pathos Foundry across its broader research and development portfolio.

BMS intends to use the platform and the specialized neurological dataset to investigate disease progression, identify suitable patient populations and improve the design of clinical trials.

Simon Davies, Senior Vice President and Head of Data and Quantitative Sciences at Bristol Myers Squibb, said the collaboration brings together advanced AI capabilities, high-quality patient data, and scientific expertise to support more informed drug development decisions.

Bristol Myers Squibb Leads Series E Financing

Alongside the strategic collaborations, Bristol Myers Squibb has led Pathos AI's Series E financing round, strengthening the relationship between the two companies.

In a separate announcement on October 23, 2026, Pathos confirmed that it had secured USD 237 million in Series E financing at a post-money valuation of approximately USD 3 billion.

The funding will support further development of the Pathos Foundry platform and advance the company's clinical-stage oncology pipeline.

Pathos intends to use the investment to expand its AI capabilities and accelerate development programs, including JSKN016, a TROP2/HER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate being advanced toward registrational studies.

The financing provides additional resources for Pathos as it expands the application of its AI technology across drug development programs.

Collaboration Targets Alzheimer's Research Challenges

Alzheimer's disease and other neurological conditions present significant challenges for drug developers because of their complex biology and the difficulty of identifying patients most likely to respond to treatment.

The three-company collaboration aims to address these challenges by combining large-scale clinical data with AI-based analysis and established pharmaceutical research capabilities.

Iker Huerga, Chief Executive Officer of Pathos AI, said the agreements bring together longitudinal patient data, AI technology, and drug development expertise to support the development of new treatments.

Eric Lefkofsky, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tempus AI, highlighted the importance of extensive patient datasets and computing capabilities in advancing research into Alzheimer's disease.

The companies expect their combined capabilities to support more precise clinical development strategies and improve the identification of potential therapies for neurological conditions.

The collaborations represent an expansion of Pathos AI's drug development activities beyond oncology, with Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders serving as the initial focus of its neuroscience research efforts.
