Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said on Monday that the company will set up a base to boost the semiconductor industry in Vietnam. The American chip manufacturer has already invested around USD 250 million in Vietnam. The company will strengthen its partnerships with leading technology companies in Vietnam and assist the nation in the development of digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence talent training.

Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, stated during his maiden visit to the Southeast Asian nation that the company considered Vietnam to be its home turf and reaffirmed its intentions to establish a development center within the country.

"The base will be for attracting talent from around the world to contribute to the development of Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem and digitalization," the Vietnamese government stated. The basic objective will be to attract international talent who can make valuable contributions to the advancement of Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem and digital transformation. New innovations and market trends play a crucial role in the growth of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.
