NTT has announced the e-launch of its newest data center campus, Bengaluru 4, located at Prestige Tech Cloud, Devanahalli. The state-of-the-art campus is designed to meet the growing demand for AI, cloud, and high-density infrastructure, reinforcing NTT's commitment to powering India's digital future.

Campus Specifications and Infrastructure

The Bengaluru 4 campus spans 8.5 acres and features a 100 MW facility load, with 67.2 MW of critical IT load. The campus consists of three data centers designated as Bengaluru 4A, 4B, and 4C, with each data center supporting 22.4 MW of IT load capacity.

Each data center contains seven data halls, each supporting 3.2 MW of IT load. As of December 3, Bengaluru 4A is ready for commissioning with its full 22.4 MW IT load capacity, marking the first phase of this mega campus development.

Power Systems and Reliability Features

The campus incorporates a dedicated 220 kV GIS Substation with a 220 kV LILO arrangement from the state grid for enhanced stability. Power reliability is ensured by diesel generators equipped with 48-hour HSD backup. The facility maintains four dedicated POE routes to support operational continuity.

The campus operates with a 24/7 operations team and provides remote hands support for clients. The strategic location near Kempegowda International Airport ensures seamless accessibility for clients and partners.

Sustainability and Security Measures

Bengaluru 4 has achieved IGBC Platinum Rating for its building design and environmental standards. The facility incorporates renewable power into its sustainability initiatives. Security is maintained through a comprehensive 7-layer security system.

The campus operates as a carrier-neutral facility, with multiple ISPs available for connectivity options. This design approach supports diverse client requirements and ensures redundant connectivity pathways.

Current Operations and Expansion Impact

According to Alok Bajpai, Managing Director, India, NTT Global Data Centers, the company currently operates 26+ MW of live IT load in Bangalore. With BLR4 adding another 22 MW capacity, NTT is significantly expanding its capabilities to meet growing demand.

Bajpai stated that NTT's investments in Karnataka extend beyond data centers to include renewable energy initiatives that reinforce the company's dedication to a greener future. These efforts are designed to strengthen India's digital backbone while creating direct and indirect economic impact for the region.
