Taiwan-based AI infrastructure company KONST has signed a collaboration agreement with SM+ Data Centers and LG Sinar Mas for the SMX01 data center facility in Jakarta, marking the company's first compute deployment outside of Taiwan.
The signing ceremony took place in Taipei and was formalized by Ben Chang, Chairman and Co-Founder of KONST, alongside Herson Suindah, President Director and Group CEO of SM+ Holdings, and Ariawan, Chief Operating Officer of LG Sinar Mas.
A Foothold in Southeast Asia
The agreement positions KONST to secure next-generation, liquid-cooled, high-density data center capacity in Indonesia, establishing what the company describes as a Southeast Asian foothold for its GPU cloud services and enterprise compute solutions. SMX01, the facility at the center of the deal, is described as an AI-ready, connectivity-rich data center located in Jakarta's central business district.
The project itself is a collaboration among SM+ Data Centers, Korea Investment Real Asset Management, known as KIRA, and LG Sinar Mas, with the stated purpose of delivering secure, scalable infrastructure designed to support the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.
The facility is built to support high power density and liquid cooling requirements, capabilities that KONST intends to leverage as it responds to what it characterizes as fast-growing demand for AI compute in the region.

Three-Tier Product Deployment Planned
Building on SMX01's infrastructure, KONST plans to deploy its three-tier portfolio at the Jakarta site. That portfolio spans GPU infrastructure, Neo Cloud, and AI applications.
The company's decision to anchor its first international deployment in Indonesia reflects the country's role as a priority market for the company's regional expansion strategy.
Ben Chang, Chairman and Co-Founder of KONST, said in a statement: "Today marks a major milestone for KONST as we take the next step in expanding our AI infrastructure business into Southeast Asia.
Indonesia is a key market for AI, and we are proud to work with SM+, LGSM, Giga Computing, and Raydian Cloud to build the next generation of AI data centers.
This strong partnership is only the beginning. We believe KONST can become a leading and innovative brand in the AI ecosystem, and we look forward to deepening our collaboration."

Partners and Ecosystem
The Jakarta deployment brings together a broader partner ecosystem beyond the three primary signatories. GPU servers for the facility will be supplied by Giga Computing, a subsidiary of GIGABYTE.
GPU cluster deployment and ongoing operations will be managed by Raydian Cloud, described as an AI infrastructure services provider with an established presence across Southeast Asia.
According to the announcement, the partners combine their expertise to ensure the quality and reliability of high-density GPU clusters from initial build-out through ongoing operations.
Representatives from KONST, SM+, LG Sinar Mas, Giga Computing, and Raydian Cloud were all present at the ceremony to mark the launch of what was described as the Southeast Asia AI infrastructure partnership.
The Signatories and Their Roles
SM+ Holdings, through its SM+ Data Centers division, is one of the project's originators. Herson Suindah leads the group as President Director and Group CEO.
The company's chairman, identified as Bill Cheng, was also present at the signing. LG Sinar Mas, whose COO Ariawan signed the agreement on behalf of the company, is one of the facility's co-developers alongside SM+ and KIRA.
KONST, headquartered in Taiwan and described as an AI infrastructure company, is entering the agreement as the compute and cloud services tenant at SMX01. Avery Tsai, CEO and Co-Founder of KONST, was also present at the signing ceremony in Taipei, alongside Ben Chang.
Regional Context
The SMX01 facility is positioned within Jakarta's central business district and designed to serve the infrastructure demands of Indonesia's expanding digital economy.
The involvement of Korea Investment Real Asset Management as one of the project's financial and development partners adds an international investment dimension to the facility's development structure.
The announcement identifies this agreement as KONST's first compute deployment beyond Taiwan, framing it as the beginning of a broader regional expansion rather than a single transaction. The company's stated ambition, as expressed by its chairman, is to establish itself as a leading brand within the AI ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
