KK Wind Solutions has officially opened its largest manufacturing facility in Asia, located in Bengaluru, as part of a major expansion to support both domestic and international renewable energy markets. The new plant, which is expected to employ up to 400 people, marks a significant step in the company’s global growth strategy.

In addition to the manufacturing unit, KK Wind Solutions has also launched a shared services office in the city, where 150 professionals will support the company’s operations worldwide.

The new facility is designed to produce advanced power control systems and converters, enabling the company to scale production and meet growing global demand more efficiently. According to Mauricio Quintana, CEO of KK Wind Solutions, Bengaluru was chosen for its strong engineering ecosystem, including world-class universities and a skilled talent pool.

“India offers immense potential in renewable energy, and Bengaluru stands out with its deep engineering expertise and innovation capabilities,” Quintana stated during the inauguration.

The investment deepens KK Wind Solutions' presence in India, where the company has been operating since 2017. The expansion aligns with India’s growing importance in the global wind energy supply chain, with the country emerging as a strategic hub for manufacturing and innovation.

Strengthening Global Supply Chain Capabilities

The new manufacturing plant will play a key role in KK Wind Solutions’ global supply chain, serving customers across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The company emphasized that the facility will improve delivery times, enhance product quality, and support the transition to cleaner energy sources worldwide.

The opening ceremony was attended by Eske Bo Knudsen Rosenberg, Consul General of Denmark in Bengaluru, highlighting the international significance of the investment and the collaboration between India and Denmark in the renewable energy space.

By expanding its footprint in India, KK Wind Solutions reinforces its long-term commitment to supporting global decarbonization efforts through innovation and local partnerships.
