Jakson Group Launches 6 GW Integrated Solar Manufacturing Facility in Madhya Pradesh
Jakson Group on Sunday kick-started its INR 8,000-crore investment to establish a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation for the first phase of the project in Maksi, Shajapur district, marking a significant milestone for India's clean energy manufacturing sector.
Project Specifications and Timeline
The comprehensive project will establish 6 GW of ingot, 6 GW wafer, 6 GW cell, and 6 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity over the next three years. The facility is being developed in phases, with the first phase involving the setup of 3 GW cell and 4 GW solar module manufacturing capacity.
Phase 1 requires an investment of INR 2,000 crore to establish 3 GW of cell capacity and 4 GW of module-making capacity. This initial phase is expected to generate 1,700 employment opportunities for the region.

The project is projected to create 4,000 new jobs across all phases of development. The first phase alone will provide 1,700 employment opportunities, contributing significantly to the local workforce development in Madhya Pradesh.

Location and Infrastructure
The manufacturing facility is being established at Maksi in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh, specifically in the Industrial Area Maksi Phase-2. The location was selected as part of the state's industrial development strategy to position Madhya Pradesh as a key player in India's clean energy transition.
