Insolation Green Energy Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Insolation Energy, has secured a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and long-term operation of grid-connected solar power plants under the PMKUSUM Component A Scheme. The project represents a significant milestone for the company with a total capacity of 226.45 MW and an investment of approximately INR 750 crore, including GST.

The projects include comprehensive operation and maintenance for 25 years from the date of commissioning, along with the establishment of 11 KV lines to connect the plants to various 33/11 KV substations and a remote monitoring system for efficient plant management.

Project Distribution and Capacity

The LOIs were awarded by two major electricity distribution companies in Rajasthan. Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) awarded contracts for 20 sites, while Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL) provided LOIs for 115 sites. Together, these 135 sites will cover the total combined capacity of 226.45 MW across the state. The distribution of sites reflects a significant focus on expanding solar infrastructure across multiple locations in Rajasthan, with AVVNL accounting for the majority of the project sites at 115 locations compared to JVVNL's 20 sites.

Tariff Structure and Pricing

The levelized tariffs for these projects have been finalized across four different rate categories. The pricing structure shows INR 3.04 per unit for 16 sites, representing the highest tariff rate among the categories. INR 2.82 per unit has been set for 5 sites, while INR 2.75 per unit applies to 53 sites. The lowest tariff rate of INR 2.60 per unit covers the largest number of sites at 61 locations.

This varied tariff structure across the 135 total sites suggests different project characteristics or locations that may influence the pricing for each category of solar installations under the PMKUSUM Component A Scheme.

Revenue Projections and Timeline

The solar plants are expected to generate around 36.23 crore electricity units annually. Based on this generation capacity and the established tariff rates, the projects would result in an estimated revenue of INR 98.47 crore per year for Insolation Green Energy Private Limited. The projects are scheduled for execution by the financial year 2026-27. All projects are entirely domestic and are expected to contribute significantly to India's renewable energy goals.

The 25-year operation and maintenance commitment ensures long-term involvement in the project lifecycle from commissioning through extended operational periods.

Technical Infrastructure and Monitoring

The comprehensive project scope extends beyond basic solar panel installation to include critical infrastructure components. The establishment of 11 KV lines will connect the plants to various 33/11 KV substations, ensuring proper grid integration for the distributed solar installations across the multiple sites. A remote monitoring system will be implemented for efficient plant management, allowing for centralized oversight of the 135 individual solar installations across both JVVNL and AVVNL territories.

This monitoring capability will support the 25-year operation and maintenance commitment that forms part of the project requirements. The total investment of approximately INR 750 crore, including GST, represents a substantial commitment to renewable energy infrastructure development under the government's PMKUSUM Component A Scheme framework.
