Iberdrola Australia has successfully installed the first row of solar panels, known as the Golden Row, at its Broadsound Solar farm in Clarke Creek, Queensland. This milestone is an important benchmark in terms of quality and compliance, ensuring that the PV project meets all required specifications. The Golden Row at Broadsound consists of 87 solar panels.

Project Details

The Broadsound Solar farm is a 377 MWdc PV plant that will have around 610,000 panels once completed. The project is expected to generate enough clean energy to power more than 140,000 Australian homes. In addition to the PV plant, the project includes the installation of a 180 MW battery energy storage system (BESS).

Construction and Quality Control

The Golden Row plays a key role in approving the design, supervising the construction, and ensuring that the PV project meets all required specifications. This initial installation of solar panels is crucial for the overall quality and compliance of the project.

Energy Storage and Capacity

The inclusion of a 180 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in the project highlights Iberdrola Australia's commitment to providing reliable and efficient clean energy solutions. The Broadsound Solar farm is expected to make a significant contribution to Australia's renewable energy landscape. The installation of the Golden Row at the Broadsound PV plant marks a significant milestone for Iberdrola Australia, demonstrating the company's progress in developing large-scale renewable energy projects. With its focus on quality, compliance, and energy storage, Iberdrola Australia is poised to play a major role in Australia's transition to clean energy, and the successful installation of the Golden Row is a crucial step in this process.
