Data center firm EdgeCore has bagged nearly USD 2 billion in debt to fund the development of the data center campus in Mesa Arizona. The financing consists of a limited-recourse senior secured term loan, a revolving senior secured letter of credit facility, and an accordion feature that will fund future development.

The financing for the project was structured as a green loan. ING Capital LLC is the sole green loan structuring agent. EdgeCore’s LEED-designed water-neutral campus in Mesa will be capable of supporting a minimum of 450 MW of critical load and will be developed to meet current and future customer needs across 3.1 million square feet of space. The scalable data center campuses are designed to support the density requirements of hyperscalers.

Partners Group acquired EdgeCore in November 2022. The Partners group pledged to invest USD 1.2 billion to develop existing and future data center sites. Edgecore used the capital investment to expand and develop data center facilities in California, Virginia, Arizona, and Nevada.
