Dilip Buildcon has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the development of a 100 MW grid-connected, ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) power project through its joint venture, DBL-APMPL. The joint venture structure allocates 74 percent ownership to DBL and 26 percent to APMPL.

Project Specifications and Location

The solar power project will be located in the Ramnagar and Dhanwada villages of Suwasra tehsil in Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh. The project will span approximately 315 acres of land provided by Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJNM). The construction period for the project is scheduled to be 24 months. The project is designed as a grid-connected, ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power installation that will operate under captive mode.

Power will be supplied at a fixed rate of INR 2.09 per unit using non-DCR (domestic content requirement) solar panels.

Power Supply Agreement

The project will supply power to Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJNM) for a period of 25 years from the date of commissioning. This arrangement represents a long-term power purchase commitment between the joint venture and the state water utility. The captive mode operation indicates that the power generated will be specifically dedicated to meeting MPJNM's energy requirements rather than being sold to the general grid market.

Strategic Significance

This domestic order marks a significant move in sustainable infrastructure development and energy cost efficiency for government utilities. The project represents an investment in renewable energy infrastructure that will serve a state-level utility organization for more than two decades. The use of non-DCR solar panels in the project indicates flexibility in sourcing equipment while maintaining the competitive pricing structure reflected in the INR 2.09 per unit rate.
