DayOne has secured an additional USD 3.67 billion in multi-currency financing to support the continued development of its data centre platform in Johor, Malaysia.
The transaction increases the company’s combined financing platform to USD 7.34 billion, building on an earlier USD 3.67 billion package secured in 2025.
Seven Lenders Back the Funding Package
The financing was arranged by CIMB, Credit Agricole CIB, DBS, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered, and UOB. All seven banks acted as mandated lead arrangers, bookrunners and joint coordinators.
The additional funding comprises a USD 2.4 billion offshore term loan facility and a USD 1.34 billion Murabahah facility. In their October 13 joint statement, the lenders positioned the transaction as further support for Malaysia’s growing role in regional digital infrastructure.
Johor Attracts Data Centre Investment
The lenders identified Johor’s connectivity, established infrastructure, access to skilled workers, and proximity to regional markets as factors supporting investment.
DayOne’s financing comes as demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital services increases across Asia-Pacific. These activities require infrastructure capable of supporting expanding computing workloads, making data centre development an important part of the region’s digital growth.
