CNTE has completed the delivery of energy storage system solutions for two utility-scale battery projects in Merseburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, marking a continued expansion of the company's footprint in the German energy storage market.

 

The two installations, BESS Leuna 1 and BESS Leuna 2, were both commissioned in March 2026 and together represent a combined capacity of 100MW and 200MWh.

Project Scale and Specifications

Each of the two projects carries a capacity of approximately 50MW and 100MWh, making them identical in scale. Situated in Merseburg, the installations are part of Germany's broader push to integrate utility-scale battery storage into its energy infrastructure as renewable generation continues to expand across the country.

The commissioning of both systems in March 2026 marks another step in what has become a growing series of deployments by CNTE in the German market.
