BluPine Energy (renewable energy company) has executed long-term Power Purchase Agreements with three industrial companies in Rajasthan as part of a broader strategy to build a 150-megawatt Commercial and Industrial renewable energy portfolio in the state, the Gurugram-based company announced on July 30, 2026.

The agreements were signed with KEI Industries Limited (wires and cable manufacturer), Craftsman Automation Limited (Indian engineering and precision manufacturing leader), and Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions Private Limited (aluminium diecast components manufacturer). Construction activities for all three projects have already commenced, with commissioning planned in line with individual project timelines.

Three Agreements Anchor Rajasthan Expansion

The newly executed PPAs represent the latest step in BluPine Energy's effort to deepen its Commercial and Industrial footprint across key manufacturing hubs in India.

While the company did not disclose the individual capacity figures for each of the three agreements, it described the combined announcements as a milestone in its C&I growth journey in Rajasthan.

KEI Industries Limited is an established player in the electrical equipment space, Craftsman Automation Limited operates in the automotive and engineering manufacturing sector, and Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions Private Limited is active in lightweighting solutions.

The deals reflect BluPine Energy's stated focus on serving energy-intensive industries including manufacturing, automotive, engineering, electrical equipment and consumer goods.

The projects are structured to allow the partner companies to meet a significant share of their electricity requirements through renewable energy. BluPine Energy said the arrangements are designed to reduce carbon emissions, provide long-term energy cost stability, and enhance energy security for the industrial customers involved.

Pipeline Points to 60–70MW of Additional Capacity

Beyond the three signed agreements, BluPine Energy said it is in advanced stages of executing PPAs for an additional 60 to 70 megawatts of C&I capacity in Rajasthan.

The company expects to announce multiple further customer partnerships in the coming months. Those projects, once finalised, would contribute to filling out its planned 150 megawatt C&I portfolio in the state.

Rahul Mishra, President of Commercial and Industrial at BluPine Energy, said the company is witnessing strong demand from industries seeking reliable, cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions that support their decarbonisation ambitions. He expressed confidence that the company would achieve its 150 megawatt C&I portfolio target in Rajasthan.

"These partnerships reinforce our commitment to delivering tailored renewable energy solutions across diverse industry sectors," Mishra said. "With a healthy pipeline of projects under finalisation, we are confident of building a 150 MW C&I portfolio in Rajasthan and supporting more businesses in their transition to clean energy."

Rajasthan Already Home to Nearly 1GW of BluPine Solar Capacity

The C&I agreements sit alongside a much larger existing presence BluPine Energy has already established in Rajasthan. The company currently holds a renewable energy portfolio in the state comprising nearly one gigawatt of solar capacity and 300 megawatt-hours of Battery Energy Storage Systems. The company described Rajasthan as holding strategic importance in its overall growth journey.

BluPine Energy cited Rajasthan's strong renewable resource potential and what it characterised as a supportive policy ecosystem as factors making the state a preferred destination for industrial consumers transitioning towards clean energy.

Captive and Open Access Models Central to C&I Offering

BluPine Energy's C&I business operates through captive, group captive, and open access renewable energy models. The company said these structures enable businesses to achieve sustainability goals while improving operational efficiency and long-term energy resilience. The customised approach is intended to serve a broad range of industry sectors rather than focusing on a single vertical.

The company said its expanding C&I business targets customers across manufacturing, automotive, engineering, electrical equipment, consumer goods, and other energy-intensive industries. The three Rajasthan agreements with KEI Industries, Craftsman Automation, and Sunbeam Lightweighting Solutions are consistent with that sector focus.

BluPine Energy Background

BluPine Energy was established in India by Actis, which the company describes as a global investor in sustainable infrastructure. The company develops, builds, owns and operates utility-scale solar, wind, and integrated renewable energy projects across India. Its utility-scale operations run alongside the C&I business that is now being actively scaled in Rajasthan and other key industrial states.

The company's stated objective is to contribute to India's broader energy transition and net-zero ambitions by delivering what it describes as scalable, reliable, and commercially attractive clean energy solutions to industrial and commercial customers.
