The president and CEO of Axcelis Technologies inaugurated the new logistics center. The newly constructed, cutting-edge facility streamlines operations and offers flex capacity to facilitate expansion.

The 101,800-square-foot facility was meticulously planned to integrate cutting-edge technologies, including autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) powered by artificial intelligence and other inventive enterprise-level warehouse automation systems. These additions were implemented to significantly increase the facility's efficiency and facilitate the company's material flow and handling.

Axcelis Technologies President and CEO Russell Low said, “This new facility will allow us to support the company's expanding global customer base.” He also added that they are excited to provide significant employment opportunities in Beverly and across the globe.

The organisation intends to apply for a 25% tax credit in relation to its capital investment in the new facility under the U.S. Chips and Science Act. The CHIPS and Science Act seeks to strengthen U.S. semiconductor manufacturing in order to bolster the resilience of American semiconductor supply chains, support national security, and ensure access to critical technologies.
