Microsoft to Invest $2.2 Billion to Develop Data Center and AI Infrastructure in Malaysia

Microsoft, the global tech giant, has announced a significant investment of USD 2.2 billion in Malaysia to bolster the country’s digital transformation. The investment will be spread over the next four years. On May 2nd, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the Microsoft Build: AI Day, Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella made the announcement. Furthermore, the investment aims to advance new data center infrastructure in the country.
