ODATA, an Aligned Data Centers Company, has announced securing USD 1.02 billion in green financing specifically focused on sustainable data center infrastructure investments across Latin America. This financing represents the largest of its kind for data centers in the region, bringing ODATA's total financing to USD 2.25 billion.

Record-Breaking Green Financing

The USD 1.02 billion green financing marks a historic achievement as the largest issuance of sustainable data center financing in Latin America. This funding strengthens ODATA's financial foundation to meet growing demand for cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure while maintaining high sustainability standards.

Rafael Bomeny, CFO of ODATA, stated that this historic achievement has enabled the company to establish a solid financial foundation. “With these high-quality resources, we're incredibly well-positioned to empower our customers in their digital infrastructure expansion across the region,” Bomeny said. He added that the green financing reinforces ODATA's mission to contribute to Latin America's sustainable development by leading the adoption of innovative technologies that drive a more efficient future for customers and communities.

Sustainability Standards and Usage

The funding will be allocated specifically for data center projects that meet the highest standards of sustainability. These standards encompass energy efficiency targets, the use of renewable energy, and sustainable construction practices. The financing aligns with ODATA's commitment to environmental responsibility in data center operations.

Bomeny emphasized that sustainability is a top priority for ODATA. “In addition to major investments in renewable energy, we adopt designs that seek the highest levels of energy efficiency without wasting water. With this new green financing, we can continue contributing to the development of Latin America's digital infrastructure while upholding the highest standards of sustainability,” he added.

Regional Market Expansion

The expansion of this financing strengthens ODATA's leadership position in the Latin American data center market. The funding will support the company's growth across key regional markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia. This expansion ensures these countries have access to world-class IT infrastructure capable of supporting the sustainable growth of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

Innovation and Technology Leadership

ODATA has established itself as a pioneer in energy strategy, becoming the first hyperscale data center in Latin America to self-produce 100% renewable energy in Brazil. The company recently introduced the exclusive Delta Cube air-cooling technology to Latin America.

This technology was developed and patented by parent company Aligned Data Centers. The Delta Cube system is designed to support high-density power loads and can cool up to 50kW per rack in the same row. The system is also ready for integration with advanced liquid cooling systems. These technological initiatives underscore ODATA's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the development of Latin America's digital infrastructure.

The combination of renewable energy production and advanced cooling technologies positions ODATA as a leader in sustainable data center operations across the region. The green financing enables ODATA to continue expanding its sustainable data center infrastructure while meeting the increasing demand for cloud and AI services throughout Latin America.
