The project, boasting a storage capacity of 200 megawatt-hours (MWh), is expected to begin construction in the third quarter of 2025 and reach commissioning by the end of 2026.

This development comes as the latest in a string of successful endeavors for Kyon Energy. In the preceding four months, the company confirmed the realization of new storage projects with a combined capacity of 237.5 MW/507 MWh, solidifying its position as a key player in Germany's burgeoning energy storage market.

The Dahlem project is designed to support a region with 21 existing wind turbines, contributing to integrating renewable energy sources into the German grid. By storing excess wind energy during periods of high production and releasing it By 2030, the nation wants to have 80% of its electricity come from renewable sources.
