Envision Energy India Secures 300 MW Wind Turbine Order from UPC Renewables India
Envision Energy India has announced receipt of a 300 MW order from UPC Renewables India for the supply of 60 Wind Turbine Generators based on the EN 182/5 MW turbine platform. These high-capacity smart wind turbines will be deployed in upcoming renewable energy projects across Karnataka.
Agreements for the first 20 turbines, totaling 100 MW, have already been finalized. Deliveries are scheduled to begin early next year for power supply under the contract signed between UPC Renewables and SJVN, with delivery planned for January 2027.
Project Specifications and Performance
The complete fleet of 60 turbines is expected to generate around 900 million units of clean electricity annually, leveraging the strong monsoon wind profile and site-specific advantages in the Bijapur region. The EN 182/5 MW platform features a 182-meter rotor and a 140-meter hub height, designed for optimal performance in Indian terrain.
The platform's proven record in high-growth markets across the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China highlights its efficiency, providing over 40% higher annual energy output than the 3.3 MW platform while achieving one of the lowest Levelized Costs of Energy in its class. Additionally, the platform supports more efficient land use by minimizing land parcel requirements and easing right-of-way acquisition.
