Deendayal Port Authority floats a tender for the allotment of plots for the Green hydrogen project developed in Kandla, Gujarat. The plots will be allotted on 30 30-year lease and November 16th is the last date for bid submission, the Bid will be opened on the same day.

Deendayal Port Authority will auction 14 plots of over 3600 acres, which will be used for the development of green hydrogen plants and allied infrastructure excluding renewable energy. The Bidders must pay an EMD (Early Money Deposit) of USD 10,150 and a tender fee of USD 71. 

The plot allotment involves an e-auction in which the highest bidder will be selected. The successful bidder will get the letter of allotment within 30 days after selection. According to the tender document, any company registered under the Indian Companies Act 1956 will be eligible for the allotment.
 

About the Deendayal Port Green Hydrogen project

Deendayal Port Authority run by the central government is building a green hydrogen park at Kandla. The project is under the National Green Hydrogen Mission which aims to reduce USD 15 billion worth of fossil fuel imports and 50 MMT per annum of CO2 emissions by 2030. The port trust earlier received an EoI (Expression of Interest) from 10 private companies for the production, storage, and sale of green hydrogen and green ammonia.

Recently, Deendayal Port Authority signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Jakson Green for a USD 288 million green ammonia plant.
