Balfour Beatty has Been Awarded Several New Contracts Worth a Total of USD 449 Million in the United States

Balfour Beatty has received new contracts worth $449 million in the US states of Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina, according to the company. In addition to many other projects, the worldwide engineering and construction firm obtained four contracts from the US military.

 

Heery International, a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty, has been granted its second United States Air Force Multiple Award Task Order Contract in Virginia (MATOC). The goal of the project is to convert the Langley Air Force Base Hospital into an outpatient clinic. The $44 million design and build contract is being coordinated through the US Army Corps of Engineers' Fort Worth District in Hampton.

 

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, has awarded Balfour Beatty Construction US three contracts. The $40 million MATOC at Fort Jackson in South Carolina will see 300,000 square feet of current barracks renovated and replaced. Balfour Beatty has been awarded a $40 million MATOC at Fort Benning, Georgia, for the design and building of new barracks to accommodate Army infantry troops.

 

Balfour Beatty Communities administers family housing at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and Balfour Beatty Construction has won a $48 million contract to provide construction management and general contracting services for a new dormitory that will seat 1,200 airmen.

 

Balfour Beatty Construction US has lately received a number of contracts in its other sector. It has won a $60 million design and build contract for the Hays County Government Complex in Texas. The project involves the construction of new courts and administration facilities, as well as supporting infrastructure, in San Marcos.

 

A $150 million contract to supply general services at the Las Colinas Entertainment Center in Irving, Texas has also been given to the corporation. A 6,500-square-foot theatre with broadcasting capabilities, 15 restaurants and entertainment venues, and a 500,000-square-foot parking garage are all part of the project.

 

The Department of Defense, Education Association awarded Balfour Beatty a $42 million design and build contract for a New Elementary and Middle School Complex at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. A new gymnasium, auditorium, athletic fields, and classroom building will be part of the new 200,000 square foot facility.

 

Balfour Beatty Construction is also constructing a new $25 million nursing school for North Carolina Central University in Raleigh. The project will entail the relocation and restoration of an ancient church, as well as the construction of a three-story facility with cutting-edge classrooms, laboratory space, faculty offices, and supporting infrastructure.
