1Komma5° is a German company that manufactures and sells solar panels. It was founded in July 2021 by Philipp Schröder, Micha Grüber, Jannik Schall, and Philip Liesenfeld. It is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.   

Their portfolio includes serving across 7 countries through 80+ locations and has achieved a milestone of installing 1K5° energy systems in more than 100,000+ households. Their product range includes:

They feature a special "Heartbeat AI" technology, an artificial intelligence and electricity market software platform designed as a "smart energy manager" for homes. 

In March 2025, 1KOMMA5° launched a new full black solar module using German polysilicon from Wacker Chemie that offers up to 22.8% efficiency and is available in two variants of 445W and 450W with a performance guarantee of 30 years. 

AESolar

AESolar was founded in 2003 by Dr Alexander Maier and his brothers. It is one of the tier-1 manufacturers in Germany, known to deliver high-quality photovoltaic modules renowned for their reliability and durability. With a global network and a vast portfolio of executing more than 3200+ successful PV installations, it aims to reduce electricity costs and cut down carbon emissions.   

It is headquartered in Königsbrunn, Germany. Built on the foundation of German engineering, it has achieved many milestones, such as Top Renewable Energy, SMART TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION OF THE YEAR in 2022, Top PV Brand Award in Vietnam in 2021, and more.

In July 2025, AESolar, in collaboration with GOODWE, concluded the “Empowering Solar Solutions” roadshow in Hanoi that focused on integrating Vietnam’s solar industry leaders, EPCs, installers, and partners. Back in January 2025, AESolar announced the opening of its new solar panel production facility in Türkiye at the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) with a production capacity of 750 MW. This facility will specialize in manufacturing TopCon and MonoPerc solar panels.

Antec Solar GmbH

Antec Solar is a German-based company known for manufacturing premium-quality modules. It is headquartered in Arnstadt, Germany. It specialises in manufacturing solar modules of all sizes, from the smallest or custom-fit modules based on requirement. 

It specializes in thin-film solar modules, primarily using Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) technology. It offers PV modules in special sizes of up to 3.60 m and also ESG glass-based modules. 

Axitec Energy GmbH & Co. KG

Axitec, founded in 2001, has been best known for its solar modules, energy storage systems, hybrid inverters, and more. Based on the "German engineering, it supports a global production capacity of more than 2GWp of solar modules. 

With more than 20 years of experience in solar energy, it has a wide network spread across 96 countries and has installed more than 6678 MWp of Axitec solar modules across the globe. 

It is headquartered in Böblingen, Germany. Axitec is well known for its efficiency and output of 99% of the original nominal output for its AXIperfect modules. Its product range includes:

AXIbiperfect - N-Type  TOPCon cell technology is based on home and business. AXIbiperfect - powerful bifacial solar modules for rooftop and ground-mounted projects.

• Hybrid Inverters: The AXIhycon hybrid inverter, available in versions with 5 kW to 10 kW, is best for a continuous power supply in case of power failure.  
  

In August 2024, Axitec inaugurated its 300 MW solar module manufacturing plant in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, which manufactures solar modules based on n-type TOPCon technology. 

In 2025, Axitec targets to expand its Indian market and has been taking strategic steps towards it, which include securing ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) approval for 18 MW/year solar module capacity for five of its mono c-Si PERC solar modules in April 2025. Likewise, earlier in June 2025, Axitec Energy appointed Alphadex Power Ventures as its authorized dealer in Karnataka, India.  

AxSun Solar GmbH & Co. KG

AxSun Solar is one of the leading companies in Germany, founded in 2004. It was founded by Axel Skuthan and his wife Monika Hackbarth-Skuthan. Initially, it was established as an installer of solar thermal systems. In 2008, AxSun Solar was rebranded as AxSun Solar GmbH & Co. KG and began its journey of solar module manufacturing. 

It introduced its first production facility in Laupheim-Baustetten, Germany. It portfolio includes:

Its portfolio includes solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial solar parks. IBC Solar has implemented more than 11 GW of photovoltaic systems worldwide. 

In the project field, the company is also known to develop, implement, and market turnkey energy solutions worldwide, which include large-scale solar PV systems for both commercial and industrial customers. It is headquartered in Bad Staffelstein, Germany. Its product range includes:

In 2025, IBC Solar showcased a new " Made in Germany" solar module at Intersolar 2025 with 2D matrix cell interconnection for improved yield during partial shading. Likewise, in July 2025, IBC Solar announced the successful connection of its first 8.5 MWp agri-photovoltaic park with single-axis solar trackers in Baden-Württemberg to the public power grid.

Although QCells is one of the most recognized solar brands in Germany, it has shifted its production facilities to China, Malaysia, South Korea, and the U.S. However, QCells' German site focuses on R&D, innovation, and quality control.

Hanwha Q Cells

Popularly known as Qcells was founded in 1999 it was later acquired by Hanwha Group in 2012. It is headquartered in countries like the US, Germany, and South Korea. Hanwha Qcells has a Technology and Innovation Headquarters in Thalheim, Germany. 

In December 2024, Hanwha Qcells achieved 28.6% efficiency on M10-sized perovskite-silicon tandem cell verified by the CalLab at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Germany. Hanwha Qcells is known for its high-quality, high-efficiency solar cells and modules. Their product lines include:

Solar Fabrik GmbH

Solar Fabrik GmbH is a leading German manufacturer in the solar PV sector. In 2016, Christian Laibacher took over the “Solar Fabrik“ brand and founded the company Solar Fabrik GmbH. With more than 30 years of experience, it has been successfully serving in multiple countries across Europe and beyond

Later in 2018, after its expansion, it relocated its production facilities to China for cost efficiency. In 2021, Solar Fabrik announced the construction of its headquarters in Laufach, and in 2023.

It is headquartered in Laufach, Bavaria, Germany, and is dedicated to its commitment to "Made in Germany" production. Their product specialization includes:

In 2025, it announced "Factory One," a  New German production line in Hosbach, Bavaria. On 23rd May 2025, Solar Fabrik broke ground for the construction of this new 300 MW factory in Germany, thus marking its return to domestic production for the first time since 2018 when it relocated its production facilities to China.

Factory One will manufacture solar panels based on N-type Topcon and heterojunction technology and will have an annual production of 300 MW. The series production is scheduled to begin in autumn 2025. Solar Fabrik plans to implement a multi-stage approach to German production, which will allow it to respond to market demand and adjust production volumes. The output from this facility can be scaled up to 1 GW, and the company invested around EUR 6 million without government subsidies so far. 

SOLARWATT GmbH

Solarwatt is known to deliver innovative solar energy for more than 30 years. It was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Dresden, Sachsen. Over time, it has emerged as one of the leading German manufacturers of photovoltaic systems, which range from high-quality solar modules. It specialises in photovoltaic systems, energy storage, heat pumps, and EV chargers for residential and commercial projects. The Dresden facility has about 170 employees.
