The computer manufacturers are introducing a range of Blackwell-powered systems. These systems feature Grace CPUs, Nvidia data center networking, and data center infrastructure. Furthermore, the introduction of AI factories heralds a transformative era for data centers. These facilities are not just data processing centers, but rather, they are designed to produce artificial intelligence as a commodity.

This shift in focus to accelerated computing is a game-changer. Nvidia's initiative is poised to redefine the trillion-dollar data center industry by harnessing the power of AI to boost efficiency and foster innovation. Furthermore, the Nvidia Blackwell architecture is at the heart of this collaboration. It is designed to deliver unparalleled performance for mainstream large language model inference, retrieval-augmented generation, and data processing. Part of this architecture, the new Nvidia GB200 NVL2 platform, is ideally suited for emerging market opportunities such as data analytics, a sector where companies spend tens of billions of dollars annually.

“The next industrial revolution has begun. Companies and countries are partnering with Nvidia to shift the trillion-dollar traditional data centers to accelerated computing and build a new type of data center,” said the CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang. He also highlighted that the collaboration is gearing up for Blackwell architecture.

Reasons for the Partnership

Nvidia's collaboration with the computer industry to build AI data centers is a strategic move to usher in the next industrial revolution. Some of the key reasons for this significant partnership include:

Driving Generative AI Breakthroughs: The primary goal of this collaboration is to drive the next wave of generative AI breakthroughs. AI factories and data centers are envisioned as the new production houses for artificial intelligence. These facilities are designed to cater to the accelerated computing needs of various enterprises, enabling them to produce AI solutions at scale.

Diverse System Offerings: The offerings will range from single to multi-GPUs, x86 to Grace-based processors, and air to liquid cooling technologies to address various applications. This diversity ensures enterprises can select the optimal configuration for their specific AI workloads.

Modular Reference Architecture: Nvidia's MGX modular reference design platform supports the Blackwell products, allowing computer manufacturers to build over 100 system design configurations quickly and cost-effectively. This flexibility is crucial for meeting the diverse accelerated computing needs of the world's data centers.
